April 19.

=)

I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge all that is going on in our country at this time.  The Boston Marathon terror attack and the following investigation coupled with the explosion in West, Texas are extremely tragic events.  I lived in Texas until age seven and large of my family still lives in Texas.  I go to school in Manchester, NH, only about an hour away from Boston. My immediate family lives just a half an hour from the city.  I have friends and classmates who were just yards away from the incident at the Marathon.  It baffles me that such a tragic event could take place so close to home and that so many people I know were so close to the actual event as well.  With the investigation and lockdown happening now, I am both counting my blessings and keeping those in and around Boston in my thoughts and prayers.

This quote hits so close to home this week.  With our world getting smaller and smaller and tragedies happening what seems like nearly every day, we must remember to keep our faith bigger than our fear.  In a discussion in one of my classes earlier this week, I commented on how it seems as though we are literally living in fear.  Upon further discussion and thought, I realized that this is the wrong approach.  We cannot live in fear.  We must have faith in something bigger than ourselves and know that there are better days to come.  With that said, please continue to keep Bostonians, Texans, and those working towards justice in your prayers!
